    Job Description:

    The Infrastructure Manager ensures the stable operation of ECI's Network Infrastructure. This hands on position configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes all new and existing hardware, software and communication links including telephone system, data center and security systems.


    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Providing hardware/software installation, software updates, configuration, troubleshooting and resolution
    • Providing technical support on software installation and configuration
    • Designing and deploying networks
    • Monitoring to ensure security and availability
    • Maintaining system efficiency
    • Assigning routing protocols and routing configurations
    • Maintaining integrity of Network server deployment and security
    • Contacting proper vendor repair personnel for warranty repairs or when proprietary repairs are required. Explain and demonstrate malfunctions to equipment vendors responding to warranty calls or proprietary contractor calls. Verify that vendors made proper repairs
    • Monitoring various systems' and network performance, troubleshoot system problems and conduct technical diagnostic analysis to determine the source of the hardware and/or system problem and develop data recovery methods if necessary
    • Configuring and administering Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network support, Domain Name Server (DNS), SMTP-POP- Exchange Server, Windows Internet Domain Management, FTP access rules, backup policies
    • Symantec or Veritas anti-virus systems


    Requirements:

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or a related discipline
    • Eight (8) years of network engineering/administration experience
    • MCP-MS Windows Server 2008, Exchange Server, MSCA or MCSE Certification
    • SonicWall, EqualLogic, Symantec Backup EX certification is a plus
    • Knowledge of network troubleshooting/administration, network switching and network equipment, including SAN, Firewall, routing and switching
    • Knowledge of Dell Server family, Dell Switches 62xx, Sonic Wall, EqualLogic, Dell SAN PS65xx, Dell UPS
    • Experience with Windows 2003 and 2008 Server operating systems and systems administration including server imaging, network configuration, Active Directory administration and server hardware troubleshooting, network printer configuration and server print queue creation
    • Knowledge of network sniffer technologies and/or other network management software
    • Understanding of Server Cluster, Multi-site domain, Tier 1 data center requirements, disaster recovery implementation for network
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be a team player, dedicated to program support, capable of multi-tasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with near simultaneous deadlines
