EC Infosystems offers a state of the art Billing System (UtiliBill) for the Energy Industry. UtiliBill is a fully EDI integrated billing system that is offered on an ASP model to the Deregulated Energy Marketplace. It can be accessed via a Web Browser.

UtiliBill supports both Dual and Consolidated billing types. In the Dual billing method both the Utility and EM (Energy Marketer) bill the customer separately for their charges. In the Consolidated billing method only one party, either the Utility or the EM, bills the customer for the combined charges from the Utility and the EM. There are several different scenarios within the Consolidated billing method as well. They are UBR (Utility Bill Ready), URR (Utility Rate Ready) and MBR (Marketer Bill Ready). In the UBR method the EM sends their charges to the Utility who in turn sends a consolidated bill to the customer. In the URR method the EM sends their customer billing rates to the Utility and the Utility calculates the charges on behalf of the EM and sends a consolidated bill to the customer. In the MBR method the Utility sends their charges to the EM who in turn sends a consolidated bill to the customer.

UtiliBill offers a wide range of functions. It allows EMs to manage customers, generate bills, manage A/R and A/P functions and more. UtiliBill is a scalable system that allows EMs setup residential customers as well as large C&I (Commercial and Industrial) National Accounts. This system is designed to accommodate EMs operating in multiple states.

EC Infosystems realizes that EMs can have a mix of small residential customers and large C&I customers. In each category customers get billed differently. UtiliBill supports all these billing scenarios.
